Zanna — Supernatural

Zanna offer companionship and guidance to children who need them. They can choose who sees them, allowing an adult to perceive an empty room where a child sees a friend. Their appearances vary, and their work ends when the child no longer needs their help.

Zanna feature in season 11, episode 8, “Just My Imagination.” Sam encounters Sully, a friend from his childhood, during an investigation involving attacks on other zanna. The episode places apparently imaginary companionship inside the show’s supernatural world.
