The land is real

Limestone under everything. Cedar on the ridges. Springs so clear they look like glass, and dark water where they run deep. The photos and footage on this site come from Belladine's own property in the Hill Country.

The spark is real too

The series was inspired by a local fixture: the cryonics castle and Timeship near Comfort, Texas. A building made to hold people until some later day was too good a seed to leave alone.

These books are fiction. The town, characters and events are invented. The setting was inspired by real Texas Hill Country places, including Comfort's Timeship, but nothing in the books depicts the real building, its owners, or anyone connected to it.

The town in the books is made up. The land is not.
